History of BhinderThe famous ruler of Mewar Maharana Pratap gifted this region to his brother Maharaja Shakti Singh in the year 1578 A.D because of his assistance in the battle of ‘Haldi Ghati’. The town is surrounded by a ditch. Shaktawat family of the Sisidhia clan of Rajput once ruled over this part of Rajasthan. In modern times , Bhinder came into limelight due to its association with Gulab Singh Shaktawat who was a freedom fighter and member of Indian National Congress.
